Presly & Sun strives to ensure that as much of our clothing as possible comes from GOTS-certified factories. GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. This is a certification that has been developed to produce organic cotton, recycled textiles and other organically grown fibers into a sustainable garment. In order to really build a sustainable textile industry, GOTS evaluates the production and processing of textile on an ecological and social level. This means reviewing everything from the chemical inputs used to the ethical treatment of employees.

At Presly & Sun we are trying to improve our efforts constantly and aim to be as transparent as possible.

You can also contribute to the environment, with us! After a minimum of one year, you can send your item(s) back to us.
All you have to do is email us with your personal information and order number. This you can find easily in your email history. Then we will send you a return sticker. When your return has made it to our warehouse, we have a present for you! For your efforts you will receive a 10% discount on your next order, and we will make sure your old piece of clothing will have a new life.

In addition to our basic clothing collection, we also sell leather bags and belts. When people talk about tanning leather, they are talking about the process of turning the skin of an animal into workable piece of leather. With this leather products can be made.

All the belts of Presly & Sun are tanned in LWG certified tanneries. The abbreviation LWG stands for Leather Working Group. This means all tanneries we work with are audited on their tanning process with the aim to improve environmental processes, performance and working conditions. Leather products are sustainable. This may sound strange, but we are happy to give you a little more insight to the process.The fact that leather is seen as a sustainable article stems from the fact that leather is a waste product. At Presly & Sun we do not use exotic or endangered animals. Our animal skins come from the waste of the meat industry and these skins are also biodegradable. Taken together with the lifespan of a leather product: is it more sustainable to purchase a leather bag that will last for years than, for example, a PU article (Poly Urethane), made from oil and plastic. The environmental impact of replacing a fake leather item multiple times is more damaging than a leather item.

Animals are not slaughtered for the purpose of producing leather products. Animals are slaughtered for the meat industry. Instead of burning the hides or putting them in landfills with a major negative impact on the environment, they are reused to make leather goods.

The tags on our products have the FSC quality mark. FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an international quality mark for paper, supported by governments, companies and environmental organizations. It sets strict requirements for sustainability and social forest management.

Presly & Sun has an FSC Mix, which means that at least 70% of the fibers come from sustainably managed forests and/or recycled fibers. Our shipping boxes are made from recycled corrugated cardboard with a black cover paper.

One goal is to switch to FSC shipping boxes in the future. We aim to implement even more sustainability goals in our business operations in the future in order to further reduce our environmental footprint.
